About
An independent record of the flying car race
FlyingCars.report tracks flying cars, personal eVTOLs and air taxis, from first prototype to first customer delivery. The industry produces a lot of announcements and renderings and very few certificates. We keep a plain, sourced record of what has actually happened, next to what was promised.
Independent
We are not affiliated with any manufacturer, operator, investor or regulator. No company has paid for coverage or placement, and nothing here is investment advice.
How we work
- Every figure, date and quote links to the source we took it from. We prefer regulator documents, company filings and press releases, then established news outlets.
- If we can't verify a figure, we leave it out.
- Company targets are labelled as targets. When a date moves, we log it in slipped timelines.
- We separate approvals that are often blurred together: type certificates, production approvals, operator certificates and experimental permits.
- We publish when something real happens: a certification, a delivery, a price change or a delay.
Vehicle photos are either freely licensed (mostly from Wikimedia Commons, credited with author, license and source) or official manufacturer press images, credited to the company. We never use generated images or a photo of a different vehicle in place of the real one. Where no legally usable real photo exists, the tracker shows an original, stylized illustration captioned "Illustration, not a photograph". It is never a photorealistic image of the specific vehicle. The illustrations (home page, banners and some story headers) are original artwork, not photos of any real vehicle.

Videos are embedded from the manufacturers' own YouTube channels. Each one is checked against YouTube's oEmbed record so the title and channel match what we list. The poster frames are the channels' official YouTube thumbnails, hosted here so nothing loads from YouTube until you press play.
