Archer Aviation

Archer Aviation (NYSE: ACHR), whose August 10, 2026 results were datelined Santa Clara, is developing the Midnight electric air taxi. On May 7, 2026 Archer said the UAE GCAA had moved Midnight into a restricted type certificate program. That is a program, not an issued certificate. Midnight is planned to enter service in Abu Dhabi with Abu Dhabi Aviation, and Archer gave no date. On August 10, 2026 Archer announced a deal to acquire Boeing's Wisk Aero, Insitu and SkyGrid. Archer says the transaction remains subject to closing conditions. The same release says July piloted flights between Salinas and Monterey were a step toward eIPP operations later in 2026, which is a target.

Archer says the transaction remains subject to agreed closing conditions. It is not a completed acquisition and not an aircraft order. Wisk's May 4, 2026 release still described Wisk as a wholly owned Boeing subsidiary.
